Terms of Service
Last updated: January 1, 2024
These Terms of Service govern your use of The Allentown Plumber's website and the plumbing services we provide. By contacting us, requesting an estimate, or scheduling service, you agree to these terms.
Service Agreements
A specific service agreement or estimate, detailing scope, pricing, and timeline, will be provided for each project. The terms of that signed agreement, alongside these general Terms, constitute the complete agreement between you and The Allentown Plumber.
Estimates and Pricing
Provided estimates are based on a visual assessment and described issue. Final pricing may change if hidden or additional problems are discovered during work, which will be communicated to you for approval before proceeding.
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of work unless other arrangements are agreed upon in writing. We accept major credit cards, checks, and cash. A late fee may apply to overdue invoices as specified on the invoice.
Access and Property
You agree to provide our technicians with safe, unobstructed access to the work area, including water shut-off valves and electrical panels if needed. We will take reasonable care to protect your property but are not liable for pre-existing conditions or damage concealed from normal view.
Warranties
Workmanship warranties are as specified in your service agreement. Manufacturer warranties apply to parts and fixtures we supply. Warranties are void if repairs or modifications are made by others or due to misuse, neglect, or failure to follow maintenance instructions.
Limitation of Liability
The Allentown Plumber's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the total amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for consequential, indirect, or incidental damages.
Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for securing necessary permits for plumbing work, unless explicitly included in our service agreement. You must also ensure the work area is clear of personal belongings and hazards prior to our arrival.
Cancellation Policy
We request at least 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in a fee and affect our ability to schedule future services.
Emergency Services
Emergency service calls are prioritized and priced accordingly. After-hours rates apply for calls scheduled outside of our standard business hours, including weekends and holidays, as detailed at the time of scheduling.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the state in which The Allentown Plumber's primary business is located, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. The most current version will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
